Otokar to participate in EDEX 2023

Turkey’s global land systems manufacturer Otokar(BIST: OTKAR), participates in EDEX 2023, the 3^rd Egypt Defence Expo, on December 04-07, in Cairo, Egypt. During the 4-day event, Otokar will exhibit its world-renowned tracked armored vehicle TULPAR with its 30mm turret system MIZRAK.
 
Stating that Otokar is a global player in defense industry General Manager Serdar Görgüç, said, “In addition to being a NATO and United Nations supplier, we currently have nearly 33 thousand military vehicles in the inventories of close to 60 users in more than 40 countries. Today, we stand out in the global defense industry with our products, world-class know-how, engineering success, R&D, and technological capabilities.”
 
Serdar Görgüç noted that Otokar military vehicles have successfully served different forces in the MENA Region for years, “Thanks to our superior design, testing and manufacturing capabilities, we quickly respond to the constantly evolving needs and expectations of our users. We are very happy to be participating in EDEX 2023. We do believe that the exhibition is a great opportunity to develop new collaborations in the MENA Region.”
 
TULPAR ARMORED COMBAT VEHICLE  
TULPAR is designed as a multi-purpose tracked vehicle with variants ranging from 28,000kg to 45,000kg to fully satisfy the future requirements. The forward-looking design approach to modularity increases operational flexibility by using common components and a common chassis over wide range of vehicle variants. TULPAR comes in several variants that share common subsystems. Tested in the toughest climates and on rough terrain, TULPAR boasts best-in-class ballistic and mine protection with modular armor technology and armor structure that can be configured and scaled according to threats. In addition to providing an effective solution in missions that require high fire and destruction power up to 105mm, TULPAR, with high mobility, can serve in all kinds of combat environments from urban, built-up areas and light bridges to woodlands and all terrains, especially soft surfaces where main battle tanks are unable to operate due to their heavy weights.
