Otokar is ready for duty in Philippines

Otokar, Turkey’s global land systems manufacturer participates in Asian Defense & Security (ADAS) 2022, on April 27-29, in Manila, Philippines. Closely following the modernization program of Armed Forces of Philippines, Otokar will present its capabilities not only in product design and manufacturing, but also in technology transfer and local manufacturing.

Otokar is offering COBRA II 4x4 Tactical Wheeled Armored Vehicle for the Philippine Army Light Tactical Vehicle Project. COBRA II has been delivered to more than 10 end users including Turkish Army and Turkish Marine Corps. Up to date, more than 700 units were delivered in different configurations and the serial production is continued. Being a modular vehicle, COBRA II can be configured with different personnel capacity, protection level and weapon system to meet customer requirements. The vehicle also has amphibious capability as an option.

Otokar is also following the Philippine Army Light Tank Project. Otokar contributed with the program partners to develop a versatile and cost effective solution to meet the mechanized infantry requirement for fire support. The solution based on combat proven platforms integrating John Cockerill 105 mm included ARMA 8x8 Light Tank. ARMA 8x8 has been delivered to more than two export customers. Up to date, more than 400 units were delivered in different configurations and the serial production is continued. Being a modular vehicle, ARMA 8x8 can be also configured with different weapon systems, protection level and payloads according to meet customer requirements. The vehicle also has amphibious capability as an option.

Our combat proven know-how in land systems and related R&D, engineering and testing capabilities as well as our wide product range puts us at the forefront of the global defense industry. Otokar also stands out with its technology transfer and localization programs. We are closely following the acquisition projects in Philippines. ADAS is a good opportunity for us to present our capabilities in land systems. We care about the requirements of Armed Forces of Philippines and ready for duty. We develop local collaborations in line with the self-reliant defense posture objectives of the Department of National Defense, we are ready to do technology transfer for local support service and assembly.”
