Agreement signed with EGO General Directorate for 28 articulated buses

Otokar signed an agreement with EGO General Directorate after winning the contract for the procurement of 28 articulated buses. The signing ceremony for the buses that will serve the people of Ankara took place at the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality with Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavaş, EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş, and Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç in attendance. Otokar, which carries millions of passengers in more than 50 countries every day with its modern buses, will deliver Ankara’s new vehicle fleet until the end of the year.
 
Otokar, a Koç Group company, continues to reinforce the public transportation fleets of municipalities across Turkey with innovative, ecofriendly vehicles, which are preferred in more than 50 countries for their design, ergonomics, and technology, bringing relief to transportation. Otokar signed an agreement with EGO General Directorate after winning the contract for the procurement of 28 articulated buses as well as provision of aftersales services for two years.
 
The signing ceremony took place at the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality with the participation of Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavaş, EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş, and Otokar General Manager Serdar Görgüç. As the winner of numerous public transportation bus contracts by several metropolitan municipalities across Turkey in recent years, with buses preferred also in other European countries such as France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Romania, Otokar will deliver 28 Kent Articulated buses until the end of 2021. As part of the agreement, Otokar will also provide aftersales services for two years.
 
Serdar Görgüç spoke at the signing ceremony and said that KENT Articulated buses, which stand apart with a modern design and superior technical specifications, are among the most preferred mass transit vehicles in Europe as well. Görgüç added, “Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is admired by the people of the city and the country for the projects that it brings to life and the services it offers. The city is also going through a major transformation in public transportation. We are honored to manufacture the new bus fleet of Ankara. In addition to our buses, we will also provide aftersales services, and gladly support the public transportation in Ankara 24/7.”
