Otokar to Exhibit its Armoured Vehicles Range at IDEX

​​​​​Otokar, the biggest privately owned company of Turkish defence industry, presents its 4x4, 6x6 and 8x8 armoured vehicles range at the IDEX show in Abu Dhabi, UAE, between 17th and 21st February. Otokar displays ARMA 8x8, KAYA II mine resistant troop carrier and MIZRAK remote controlled turret system for the first time in the Gulf Region.

ABU DHABI, UAE - Otokar, celebrating its 50th anniversary, exhibits its ARMA multi-wheel family, KAYA II mine resistant vehicle, worldwide known armoured vehicle COBRA, and Otokar ISV internal security vehicle at IDEX. ARMA 8x8, and KAYA II are the products to be displayed firstly at the Gulf Region.

Emphasizing the success of Otokar on becoming a well-known and appreciated brand global markets, Otokar General Manager Mr. Serdar Gorguc said "While celebrating our 50th anniversary this year, we are very much proud with over 25 thousand Otokar military vehicles in active duty in around 30 countries by nearly 40 different users as well as being the key supplier of Turkish Armed Forces. These vehicles are operating under many different and sometimes extreme climate and terrain conditions in the world. Their combat capabilities are proven as they are widely used in the high risk areas. Otokar armoured vehicles serve different missions of the armies in different configurations through its entire product range starting from 4 tons armoured personnel carriers till the main battle tank."

Stating that Otokar's product range had significantly expanded within the last 2 years, Mr. Gorguc highlighted the R&D capabilities of the company and said: "R&D is one of our most important assets. Today Otokar is in leading position in designing and producing armoured combat vehicles and in due course making significant investments on the R&D studies. Reinvesting 5% of our turnover on R&D activities is the actual assurance of Otokar commitments in developing new vehicles. Following the success that we gained until today with our tactical armoured vehicles we also focused on new areas. Due to the changes in combat strategies and tactical requirements, we developed with the state of the art technology MIZRAK-30 the medium caliber remotely controlled turret. At IDEX we exhibit MIZRAK-30 on our 8x8 armoured combat vehicle, ARMA."
